Salut and Ciao! Are you ready for an epic group cycling tour through the French and Italian Alps? Join this spectacular edition of Across the Alps North! In six or seven stages (your choice), through breathtaking mountain landscapes, we’ll climb many legendary Grand Cols known from the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. Along the way, we stay and dine in charming, bike-friendly hotels. We start and finish in Moûtiers, a lovely Alpine town in the heart of Savoie.
For this join-in tour, we’ve added two popular Grand Cols to our route: the French Col de la Loze, a relatively new climb in the cycling world that has quickly gained fame and notoriety, and the partially unpaved Italian monster Colle delle Finestre, which decided the outcome of the Giro d’Italia in 2018 and 2025 in unforgettable mountain stages. These iconic climbs are must-do experiences at least once in a lifetime! After Across the Alps North, you can tick off many other Grand Cols, including Col de la Madeleine, Col de l’Iseran, Col du Lautaret, Col du Galibier, Col du Mont-Cenis and Cormet de Roselend.
Whether you choose the black routes, with 660 kilometres and 18,000 metres of altitude gain, or the red routes, with 600 kilometres and 15,500 metres of altitude gain, this cycling tour is an incredible challenge for any passionate mountain cyclist. Book your spot now and experience an epic adventure in the French and Italian Alps!

STAGE 1 & 2: THE LEGENDARY COL DE LA LOZE AND THE BEAUTIFUL COL DE L’ARPETTAZ
We start our cycling tour through the French and Italian Alps in Moûtiers. In the first stage, with start and finish in this charming mountain town, we climb the legendary Col de la Loze. The Loze was paved in 2019 and included in the Tour de France route for the first time in 2020. It quickly became an icon of the cycling world, with the most legendary moment being Pogačar’s rare collapse during Stage 17 of the Tour in 2023. The opening stage is optional; if you prefer a six-stage tour, you can start with Stage Two. In stage two we ride from Moûtiers to Beaufort. Along the way, we tackle the breathtaking Col de l’Arpettaz, a highlight for true cycling enthusiasts, and the famous Col des Saisies, which has featured in the Tour de France 15 times. We finish in the lively mountain village of Beaufort.
‘Climb some of the most iconic Grand Cols of the French and Italian Alps, including the Colle delle Finestre, Col de la Loze, and Col de l’Iseran.’
STAGE 3, 4 & 5: TIGNES, COL DE l’ISERAN EN COLLE DELLE FINESTRE
In the third stage, we ride from Beaufort to Tignes, the well-known ski and cycling village at 2,105 metres. Along the way, we climb the phenomenal Cormet de Roselend, another famous Tour de France col. In stage four, we ride from Tignes to the Col de l’Iseran, the highest col in France at 2,770 metres, before descending to Lanslebourg. From there, we tackle the climb to the fantastic Col du Mont-Cenis. On the descent, we cross the Italian border and finish in Susa. Stage five begins in Susa, immediately challenging us with the highlight of our cycling tour: Colle delle Finestre! In the 2018 Giro d’Italia, Froome left eveybody behind on this monster climb, including its unpaved finale, and took the pink jersey from Yates. He won the Giro ahead of Dumoulin. In 2025, Yates took revenge on the Finestre, seizing the pink jersey from Del Toro and winning the Giro. Finally, we ride via Sestriere to Bardonecchia, a well-known cycling village in the Susa Valley.

STAGE 6 & 7: COL DU GALIBIER AND COL DE LA MADELEINE
We start the sixth stage in Bardonecchia, Italy. On the climb of Col de l’Échelle, we cross the French border and then descend to Briançon. From here, we climb to Col du Galibier via Col du Lautaret. Col du Galibier is one of the most iconic Grand Cols of the French Alps The col has been part of the Tour de France almost 60 times and the Giro d’Italia once. In 2025, Col du Lautaret even appeared in the route of La Vuelta a España! After the phenomenal descent from the Galibier and Col du Télégraphe, we finish near Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. The seventh and final stage starts with the famous spaghetti bends of Les Lacets de Montvernier. We continue climbing to Col du Chaussey and conclude our adventure with the spectacular Col de la Madeleine. After the descent, we finish back in Moûtiers.
